The IBC totes we convert into rain barrels are sourced from food-grade or clean industrial backgrounds (never pesticides or aggressive chemicals), then triple-rinsed and pressure-washed before conversion. The collected rainwater is suitable for ornamental gardens, lawns, and most vegetable irrigation.
A standard 275-gallon IBC rain barrel captures up to 275 gallons per fill — roughly the runoff from 450 square feet of roof during one inch of rainfall. Many homeowners chain two or three IBC barrels together to capture more during heavier Kentucky storms.
Yes. We modify IBC totes into raised bed planters by cutting the top open, leaving 24 to 30 inches of vertical growing depth inside the cage. The HDPE bottle provides drainage protection and the steel cage doubles as a trellis frame for vining crops.
We sell the rain barrels and provide installation guidance, including downspout adapter sizing, overflow routing, and gravity-feed setup. Installation itself is handled by the customer or a local contractor; we can recommend qualified installers in many Kentucky cities on request.
